Kids Join In On The Karate Craze
Last year’s Australia’s Got Talent favourites the X-Treme Team and more than 50 students from the Australian Martial Arts and Fitness Academy will descend on Darling Harbour to host the country’s biggest free karate class to celebrate the release of The Karate Kid on Blu-ray and DVD.
The theatrical launch of the movie remake starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan started a flurry of excitement in the discipline and with families now able to take the film home before Christmas, the Karate craze has reignited.
Hakan Manav, a 5th degree martial arts black belt who has trained at the World Extreme Martial Arts Headquarters in Los Angeles, will perform a series of high energy moves with his students including replicating high energy flips and moves from the film.
Come along for a free lesson and to witness why this sport is sweeping Australia. A fun and enjoyable day out for the family!
